Laurie Roybal
Executive Director/Co-Founder
Laurie is the Co-Founder and serves as the Executive Director of One More Colorado. She oversees the daily operations and mission of the organization in conjunction with the Board of Directors.
She has a heart to see people that have come from difficult pasts connect with God for healing. She has her own journey with God, overcoming addiction, childhood trauma, association with gangs, an abusive marriage, serious health issues, losing family members to addiction and divorce. She was a single parent who raised three beautiful daughters, who are now adults with families of their own. She is a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren. Her favorite things to do are hang out in the mountains, traveling and Interior Design.
She obtained an AAS degree in Human Services as a single mom and has worked in different roles in this field in her career; such as an Advocate to Legislators changing policies that affect women and children in poverty, a Nutrition Coordinator for low-income families, a Chaplain to the Marketplace, a Lay Minister for Prison Ministry, a Supervisor of an Employment Program for women coming out of Sex-Trafficking, and a Board Member and WAGEES Case Manager individuals coming out of prison at The Rock Found Reentry Center.
Her most memorable work was when she attended the United Nations NGO Conference on Women; Action for Equality, Development and Peace Regional Conference in Vienna, Austria in 1994 and World Conference in Beijing, China in September, 1995. Her love for Interior Design and entrepreneurial spirit allowed her to start her own small business “Purple Door Interiors” that combined Redesign and Staging Homes for real estate in 2008 to 2022.
In the past several years she has obtained a Real Estate License, received certifications as a Life Coach, a Facilitator for Parents on a Mission, Rethinking Addiction & Recovery, Extensive Trauma Informed and Response Training. She obtained an Addictions Counselor Certification as well as ministry training in several Healing Prayer modalities and completed an Internship at the Intl. House of Prayer and Ministry School.
Although professional accomplishments are important to the mission, what is most valuable to Laurie is being able to partner with God and see people’s lives transformed. She has seen so many lives changed through spiritual healing through connection with God, including her own, by applying biblical principles to life’s challenges and meeting practical needs. Laurie is committed to this mission of One More Colorado, to see One More Life, One More Healed and One More set Free for God’s glory!
